Official rules

1. Who runs Katchik rounds

Katchik rounds are run by an individual resident in France, reachable at support@katchik.com, who is the sole promoter of every round. There is no company. "Katchik", "we" and "us" mean this person.

Katchik is free to play: no purchase, payment or fee is ever needed to enter or to win.

Katchik is responsible for every prize, including one supplied by a prize provider. A prize provider is never the featured creator.

Katchik is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, TikTok, Meta (including Instagram), Apple or Google. Apple is not a sponsor and is not involved in any way.

2. Each round's own rules

Each round has its own rules page, shown in the app and on katchik.com before the round opens. It states the round's number, its featured creator, when it opens and when it closes (a maximum duration, a maximum number of players, or both, whichever comes first), its one winner, any partner prize and its award date, how the selected player is checked, and the version and cap of the points formula. For that round, its own rules page prevails where it is more specific than these rules.

3. Who can join

You must be 18 or older and live in the United Kingdom, Germany or France. One Katchik account per person. One TikTok account per Katchik account.

Katchik staff and their households cannot win. The age and residence rules also apply to the free entry. If you are selected, we may ask for proof of your age and country; we delete it once checked.

You must control the TikTok account you take part with. To use the free entry, you do not need to link it, follow the featured creator or follow @katchikapp. If you are selected, the public-account and good-standing commitments in section 9 apply to you in the same way.

4. How to join

To join a round in the app while it is open:

1. Create or sign in to your Katchik account with your email address and password.
2. Link your TikTok account through TikTok Login Kit. It is not a way to sign in to Katchik.
3. Follow @katchikapp on TikTok yourself, once, and confirm it in the app. Until you do, you cannot earn points, do missions or join a round.
4. Follow the round's featured creator yourself, in TikTok's own app.
5. Come back to Katchik and confirm: "I followed, count me in".

Katchik never automates a follow. A follow alone does not enter you. By default (candidate-first, section 7), we check your follow of the featured creator only if you are selected. Your @katchikapp follow is checked only if you are selected, in every round, against Katchik's own follower list.

Keep following the featured creator until the round's winner is announced; after that you may unfollow.

A round closes at the time or the number of players stated in its own rules, whichever comes first. App entries and valid free entries count towards the same number of players.

Do not use both routes to enter the same round twice. If the same person enters a round twice, we keep the first valid entry.

5. Free entry

You can enter any round on equal terms at katchik.com/free-entry. This route is on the web only: no follow and no app are needed. There is no free-entry path inside the app. The form opens with the first round.

Choose the round, give your full name, country, email address and TikTok username, tick the 18+ and rules boxes, and confirm your email through the single link we send, before the round closes.

One free entry per person per round. A free entry holds the round points of the Katchik account that uses the same verified email, or one ticket when no account uses it: the same rule as every entry.

The same prize, acceptance window and selection process apply to both routes. Free entrants do not follow the featured creator or @katchikapp, and no follow check applies to them. Any ticket cap applies to both routes in the same way.

If you are selected through the free entry, we contact you at your confirmed email, and you claim by email as section 10 explains.

6. Points and tickets

Each round point you hold when the round closes is one ticket. Every eligible entrant holds at least one ticket. Points cannot be bought.

You earn points from linking your TikTok account, from your public TikTok stats, from missions and from invites. Stats points follow a versioned formula with a cap, the linking credit is a set amount, earned once per TikTok account and kept if you disconnect, and each mission and invite states its points; each round's rules give the formula version, the linking amount and the cap it uses, fixed when the round opens. Katchik may use different values in later rounds, but never changes a round's scoring after it opens.

A mission is a task the app states with its points: publishing your own TikTok post with a specified campaign hashtag or mention, or reaching a milestone on your own public TikTok statistics. We read posts through TikTok's video.list permission. When a mission is for a brand, disclose the connection in your post with a clear label such as "Ad", "Werbung" or "Publicité", and TikTok's content disclosure setting.

Tickets are whole numbers. Once a round has 30 or more entrants, an entrant's tickets above 5% of the round's total are removed, rounded down, and never below one.

Sponsored cards in the app show a brand video or a partner mission. Nothing is sold in the app. A partner mission earns the points it states, like any other mission; being sponsored never adds an entry, a point, a ticket or any other advantage in a round.

How likely you are to be selected depends on the number of tickets in the sealed list used for selection (section 7).

The final result also depends on the checks, the acceptance and the replacement steps in sections 7 and 9.

7. How the winner is selected

Every round checks the selected player (candidate-first) unless its own rules say it uses the featured creator's follower list.

When a round closes, we seal its entry list and publish its fingerprint, before any eligibility check. In a follower-list round, we also seal the eligible list and publish its fingerprint after its challenge window. The drand quicknet beacon round is fixed only after the last seal: it is the first drand quicknet round published after the last seal, so nobody, Katchik included, chooses it. If the beacon is late, we wait for it and never pick another value. We then apply the published, deterministic selection method to the sealed list (in a follower-list round, the eligible list) and the beacon value.

Anyone can repeat the calculation from the round's proof page, katchik.com/proof/ followed by the round number, with the verification script and its version.

Candidate-first. We select a candidate weighted by tickets, then check that person's follows: by checking the featured creator's follower list on TikTok, and Katchik's own follower list for @katchikapp. No follow check applies to a valid free entry. If a check fails, we tell the candidate which check failed, and they have 24 hours, within their 48-hour window, to show us it is wrong before we move to the next person.

Follower list. We compare app entrants with the featured creator's own TikTok follower export and add valid free entries without a match. Before the eligible list is sealed, a challenge window lets you dispute your result: in the app, or at support@katchik.com for a free entry. A follower-list round states its 24-hour challenge window in its own rules. If you entered in the app and are selected, we still check your @katchikapp follow against Katchik's own follower list.

Either way, the selected person is only a candidate until they complete section 9. We tell app candidates by a notice in the app and an email; the 48 hours start when we send them. We tell free-entry candidates at their confirmed email.

If a candidate declines, does not answer within 48 hours or fails the checks, we move to the next person in the deterministic order. The order never selects the same person twice.

If no one is left, the next round opens with @katchikapp as its featured creator. A partner prize that no one can accept is carried to the next round and stated in its rules.

8. What the winner gets

The winner becomes the featured creator of the next round. Everyone who joins that round in the app must follow the winner on TikTok; free entrants are exempt. Katchik never promises a number of followers, and players may unfollow once that round's winner is announced.

The next round opens when the winner accepts. If no one accepts, it opens with @katchikapp as its featured creator.

When a partner offers a prize, how many there are, what they are, their value and their award date are stated in that round's rules. There is no cash alternative. Katchik remains responsible for every prize, including one supplied by a prize provider, and the prize provider is never the featured creator.

9. Winner's commitments

You must accept within 48 hours of our notice (section 7) and pass the public-account and good-standing checks.

Your TikTok account must be public when you accept. Good standing means the account and its entries follow these rules and the Terms, no automated or bought engagement was used to earn points, and TikTok has not suspended the account.

When you accept, your TikTok handle and TikTok profile photo become public, as the winner and as the next round's featured creator. We never publish them before you accept and pass the checks.

• Keep your TikTok account public until the next round is finalised.
• Supply your own follower export from TikTok's data download only when the next round's rules require it, within the deadline they state. A candidate-first next round never asks for it.
• Give accurate claim information.

These commitments apply to winners from both entry routes.

10. Claiming a prize

Accepting your place and claiming a partner prize are separate steps. Claim a partner prize in the app before the claim deadline stated in that round's rules. A winner who entered on the web claims by replying to our email from the confirmed address.

Claiming is free. Delivery details go only to whoever sends the prize, Katchik or the prize provider, only to send it, and are deleted 90 days after delivery. The prize award date and the delivery timing are stated in that round's rules.

We remind you by email 7 days before the claim deadline. After it, the prize is not delivered.

11. Your data

The controller is the individual who runs Katchik, reachable at privacy@katchik.com. We use the entry and claim data needed to run each round, on the lawful bases explained in the Privacy Policy.

Public round records show the list fingerprints, the beacon round and the accepted winner's handle and profile photo, never another entrant's name. In a follower-list round, the raw file is never stored: it is converted to keyed HMAC pseudonyms when it arrives, and the pseudonyms and key are destroyed 30 days after the round is finalised.

Before any round uses a follower list, the Privacy Policy adds a notice for the people on that list who are not Katchik members.

To delete your account, use katchik.com/delete-account, which emails you a link. You have 30 days to cancel. After that, your account data, points, missions, round history and TikTok connection are erased; published proofs keep fingerprints only.

Disconnecting TikTok revokes our access at TikTok and deletes the TikTok data we hold, except a keyed hash of your TikTok account ID that stops the linking credit being earned twice, kept after you disconnect TikTok, and for 12 months after your Katchik account is erased. If you used the free entry without an account, write to privacy@katchik.com to use your rights.

12. Disputes and changes

Write to support@katchik.com with the round number and your concern. In a follower-list round, challenges about the list go through the window before the eligible list is sealed (section 7). This does not stop you from making any other legal or privacy complaint.

We assess disputes against the published rules and evidence, and explain the outcome within 7 days.

We never change scoring, caps, entry conditions or prize quantities after a round opens to favour an entrant or to reduce our obligations. If an exceptional legal or technical event makes the stated process impossible, we cancel the round, tell every entrant, and open a new round on the same terms; no one loses points.

French law governs these rules, without removing the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you usually live (Rome I Regulation, Article 6). You keep the courts and remedies your country's mandatory law gives you.
